GENERAL

This investigation was initiated for the sole purpose of determining the performance under a standard fire exposure test of front and rear anti – finger trapping devices made from a plastic compound for use on UL Classified fire doors and UL Listed fire door frames.

The object of this investigation was to determine if the use of the anti – finger device would create flaming on the unexposed surface or affect the fire test performance of a fire door and frame assembly when exposed to a fire exposure test conducted in accordance with the Standard “Positive Pressure Fire Tests Of Door Assemblies ,” ANSI/UL 10C, UBC 7-2 (1997).
